The Flex Capacitors is a beast of backpacking pack, constructed from durable nylon for rough conditions in the backwoods and built with adjustability in mind.

Loosen the expanding horizontal gussets for an additional 15-20L of cargo capacity on longer backpacking trips, or cinch it tight for smaller, compact loads on fast summit days.

Plus, ample quick-stash solutions on the straps, sides and bucket lid ensure there are plenty of places to store your mid- trail essentials.

However, you pack it, the Y-Flex suspension adds support so this lightweight backpacking backpack can hit well above its weight class.

For delivery of orders within New Zealand, excluding boats and oversized items:

All local orders over NZD $149 are shipped free using a standard signature required service.

All local orders under NZD $149 are charged a flat fee of NZD $8 and are shipped using standard signature required service.
We mostly use Post Haste Couriers as our courier service

Allow 1-2 business days for standard South Island shipping and 2-3 business days for the North Island.

Rural Address and PO box numbers please add business 2 days.

Once your order has been dispatched you will receive an email with tracking information.

Once your order has left the store it is at the mercy of the couriers. Please check your tracking information and contact the couriers if it has not arrived when expected.

Allow 1-2 business days for standard South Island shipping and 2-3 business days for the North Island.

We try our best to get your orders out to you ASAP, however, during our peak times (Christmas, Sale week etc), we may need an extra day to process them.

WHERE IS MY ORDER:

Once your order has been shipped you will receive a Shipment Order Email. This will have a link to your tracking details, you can use this link to find the location of your parcel and contact the courier company to see how far away it is.
If you have not received a confirmation email within 24hrs, please check your junk box in your email, as some times we need to get in touch with you and emails do happen to end up in there!
Alternatively, speak to our order guru 'Bot-Bruce', and he can find the tracking details for you in the chat section of this pop-up. Just ask him, 'Where is my order?' and follow the prompts 🐻.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY (AUSTRALIA, USA)

All Australian orders are charged a flat fee of NZD $35 and are shipped using a standard service (not including boats or paddles). Paddles are NZD $125 for 2 and 4 piece paddles and NZD $195 for 1 piece paddles.
All North American orders are charged a flat fee of NZD $90 and are shipped using a standard service (not including boats or paddles).
Standard delivery times for international orders can vary from 5 business days to 6 weeks.
Once your item has been dispatched you will receive an email with tracking information.
International orders do not come with a signature delivery confirmation.
Please do not buy products with eggs or bacon, as international customs do not like this and your order may be confiscated at your own cost (no one wants wasted bacon and eggs!)
NZ GST: For international orders New Zealand sales tax (GST) is not included in the price. However the price shown on the website is the price to be paid regardless of the country to be shipped to.

SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS

All orders are shipped from our Christchurch store and usually leave the next working day. If for some reason we don't have the item you ordered we will notify you as soon as possible and let you know when you can expect delivery. Special order for non stocked items vary however are usually 2-6 weeks.

BOATS
Need your boat shipped? No problem!

Shipping is excluded at time of purchase. The team will calculate this separately after your purchase and contact you with the best rates at the time.

As a cost indication shipping typically starts at $99 for smaller boats and $150 for longer, larger boats. Cost will also vary depending on where in NZ needs to go.

Boats are delivered to your nearest Mainfreight Depot for you to collect from there.

Versatile and light but well built for typical kiwi tramping

I have the older (pre 2023 update) version; the back system is the same but the new one has more storage options. It's light, reasonably priced, copes with a wide range of loads and generally does what it is meant to. The zips on the hip belt are a little stiff to use one handed which is a minor irritation. The top pocket is too small and tends to get overstuffed, which leaves it flapping about when the pack is opened. However on a recent slow family trip along the Heaphy I stated off with a 60L pack loaded up with good food and by the time we got to the far end I had a trim 40L pack that weighted about 4kg all up! I still use my huge and comfy Arcteryx for long trips but it weighs twice as much when empty. With the new model increasing storage and adding straps for axes/poles I suspect it is a solid 5 if it fits you.

Has potential

I bought this and has come on a 5 day backcountry hike with me. Theoretically I thought the design of the pack was awesome (it is super light weight and versatile), however it did not sit well on me and ended up carrying my partners back instead. The lumbar padding is very thick and when you’ve got some weight in the pack those waist straps dig in a lot. All in all, unfortunately not right for me so do your research before you buy!
