Womens Chat Series: Intro to Navigation

navigation night

Join us for an intro to navigation with FurtherFaster athlete Becky Clarke, rogaine specialist Stephanie Farrant and their sidekick Julz.

In this session, we will provide basic navigation techniques and skills that will have you ready to race in the Banks Peninsula Adventure Race and the  Further Faster Summer Rogaine Series that starts in January.

Also great preparation for women who are considering getting into adventure racing in 2020!

Tickets are $15 with all proceeds going to Womens Refuge.

WHEN: Tuesday, November 5th, Doors open 5.30 pm with skills session beginning at 6 pm, following with a real-life practice in the Port Hills finishing around 8.30 pm.

WHERE: Meet at Shop, Further Faster 57a Buchan St, Sydenham. Then carpool to the Port Hills.

You will need the following:
*A compass, pen, and highlighter.

*NO previous navigation or rogaine experience - this session is for total newbies only. I mean zilch… “Which way is north?” would be an appropriate question!

*Be able to walk up hills.

*Walking clothing and shoes suitable for rough terrain and the weather on the night.

*Water and snacks (ALWAYS snacks!)

*Transport or willing to carpool from the shop to the Port Hills.

This event is casual, fun and you come at your own risk. It is limited to 12 people - so book your spot if you are keen!

Tickets are here via Humantix, with ticket profits going towards girls literacy program.

The event proceeds will be donated to Christchurch Women's Refuge, no refunds on ticket sales. https://womensrefuge.org.nz
