EVENT: How to repair your gear and make it last!

Ever wondered how to make your outdoor gear last a bit longer?

How to fix something that got caught on the trail? The outdoors can be rough on your gear, but we are here to help!

Join us for an evening of information around outdoor gear functionality, repairs, and maintenance, focusing on sustainable consciousness. Learn what your gear is made of, how best to take care of it, and how to perform some basic repairs to keep it going that extra kilometre!

Presented by Bachelor of Sustainability and Outdoor Education student Henry Gilbert - who loves to get the most bang for his buck by making his gear last!

The main things he is hoping to impart are:

- Understanding what your gear is made of and building perspective of the impact of those materials.

- Understanding how to think sustainably about the items you purchase.

- How to handle gear, maintain and repair it to make it last.

The specific repairs he will cover are:

- Applying sticky patches

- Using glue on leaks
