EVENT: The Where, Why and How-To's of Bikepacking.

Bikepacking in Georgia Chris Nelson standing by a village with mountains in the background

From a lifetime spent on bicycles in New Zealand and around the world, Jane Shearer and Chris Nelson are in store to talk all things bikepacking!

Jane Shearer, life enthusiast, outdoor sports fanatic, writer, and gardener, and Chris Nelson, geologist, avid skier, cyclist, and tramper, will share their stories from bikepacking adventures around the world and how they plan their trips, including their upcoming trip to Pakistan, Xinjiang, and Tajikistan.

They will bring their bikes, bags and kit, show pictures and share stories of beautiful places they’ve cycled through, like New Zealand, Nepal, Mongolia, Georgia, Colombia and Madagascar.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions, so if you want to know how to figure out your bikepacking destination, route or the gear you may need (or not need), this is an amazing opportunity.

Here are the deets for the event:

When: Thursday 19th of March, 2026
