EVENT: Repair your gear!

Further Faster & Twin Needle have teamed up with two of our epic team members to share an evening of how to make your gear last!

You will have the chance to learn loads about simple gear repairs, how to spot good quality gear, and how to care for your gear, all in the name of keeping our favourite equipment out of the landfill and ready for more adventures.

Why? Too much stuff ends up in the landfill. Despite ongoing research and development from many of your favourite outdoor brands, products we buy don’t always have an affordable, accessible, or biodegradable alternative. So looking after your gear is vital for longevity.

The answer: Learn to clean, repair, patch up and spruce up your gear to give it the life it deserves. And learn what can be repaired by professionals such as Twin Needle (you may be surprised!)

Feel free to bring in your loved gear that needs a fix, and if you are lucky you may be chosen to have it repaired on the night!

When: Tuesday 18th of April, 6.15 pm for a 6.30 pm start.

Where: Further Faster, 57A Buchan St, Sydenham, Christchurch.

Tickets: $10 Via Humaitix, all ticket sales being donated to 180 Degrees Trust, helping to empower youth through the outdoors and adventure!

This is also a project from two local third year students, Tim and Chelle, who are studying Ara’s Bachelor of Sustainability and Outdoor Education, and also happen to be employed by Further Faster and Twin Needle. So come help us out with our project!
