Sierra Designs Nitro Quilt 35 degrees

I sleep cold but find my Sea to Summit Flame 3 too warm for most spring through to early autumn. I've used my Nitro Quilt for 5 nights. One warm night camping at Hawdon Shelter, 2 nights in a historic hut at 900m and 1 night in a historic hut at 1120m. Both huts are uninsulated with various gaps around windows etc. The overnight temps dropped to low single figures. The quilt performed well. I love that I can open it up if I'm too warm and wrap it around me if it's cool. I'm mostly a side sleeper and like the little hand pockets. The head warmer bit you can slip your head into works well for me and makes a huge difference. It's a great badass kit.

Quilt Convert

Bought this as an entry into quilt life as I knew by -2 degree celsius sleeping bag would be way to warm for a summer hut adventure. I found it very snuggly with lots of down, no drafts when I was moving around, and it was easy to regulate my temperature. Also excellent value for money, being one of the cheaper quilts on the market but still high quality. I am very impressed and will be looking out for other products by this brand.

Good buy

I've used the 35 degree quilt on the TeAraroa Trail in NZ. Its light, compact and surprisingly warm. I like the foot & hand pockets and warm hood as they help tuck the quilt around me when its colder. Recomended buy from the good guys at Further Faster in Christchurch.
