New boots

Great service in store and 7 days heavy use in the back country with no problems so great result

Good Enough Lighter Economical Boots

I bought these as a lighter option and being a little roomier in the toe area than my old high end Scarpas. Generally I'm happy with them. No blisters and comfy enough in first 15 hours on the flat and up Port Hills tracks. The lace system is only OK but perhaps I'm being unfair comparing it to my old Scarpas that were double the price. I miss the ability to easily tighten the lower and upper separately. The three pair of upper hooks seem to be a bit short and flexi, meaning engaging the lace is a fussy process. Overall, happy with the boots for the (sale) price.

Pretty good so far!

So far, these boots have been pretty good, I was a little nervous when buying them that the footprint/ sole was a little skinnier than I'm used to (got wide feet) and I'd struggle with balance but so far, no issues.
Was pleasantly surprised that I didn't get blisters when wearing them in, I'll put it down to the staff knowing their stuff (thanks Carmela!)
