The evolution of the legendary Chinook PFD continues...

The evolution of the legendary Chinook PFD continues.

Combining our Orbit Fit System™, an artfully shaped back flotation panel, and the extensive pocket configuration that’s kept the Chinook a best-seller for over ten years, anglers won’t find a better-fitting, higher-performing jacket.

Key Features

  • The Orbit Fit System layers multiple pieces of lightweight closed-cell foam cut to precise specifications to create a unique, flexible, pre-curved shape that effortlessly conforms to your body.
  • The NRS Every Body Design™ philosophy combines innovative technologies that reimagine how a PFD fits and performs, eliminating the need for men’s and women’s specific models.
  • Graded Sizing takes into account the appropriate amount of flotation needed for individual body types, resulting in a better-fitting, more comfortable life jacket for all.
  • The back flotation panel conforms to an angler’s back, ensuring a flush fit.
  • A mesh lower back offers added ventilation on warm days.
  • YKK® zipper entry plus adjustments on shoulders, sides, and waist secure the life jacket and provide a custom fit.
  • Two large clamshell pockets, sized for fly and tackle boxes, with internal organization.
  • One exterior pocket on the angler’s right side offers easily accessible storage.
  • Tool holder pocket for quick access to pliers or line cutters with hook-and-loop closure and an integrated rod holder for hands-free tasks.
  • Sustainable construction combines a recycled ripstop nylon shell with a recycled nylon inner that protects PVC-free Ethafoam shims.
  • The silicone-coated inner waistband helps hold the PFD in place when swimming.
  • Features 3M® reflective accents, shoulder strap keepers, and multiple attachment points on the front and back for knives, lights, strobes, etc.
  • Performance Level (Level 70): Life jackets are designed, constructed, and tested under controlled conditions and assigned a Performance Level that indicates the conditions of use for which it is intended. This classification is both USCG and TC-approved. Most recreational jackets fall in Level 70.
  • Profile (Medium): Low-profile jackets are more compact, top-to-bottom, with thicker flotation panels; they provide great arm mobility. Flotation panels on Medium profile jackets cover more of the torso, but tend to have thinner panels. Flotation panels on high-profile jackets also cover more of the torso but have thicker panels for maximum flotation.
