Overview

The No. 1 easy to use, high performance product effectively cleans while reviving breathability and water repellency. 

Nikwax Tech Wash has been specifically designed for breathable, waterproof fabrics. Application is simply via a washing machine cycle.

Technical Specs

  • To be used on waterproof clothing and equipment 

Care

  • Use undiluted Tech Wash® and a sponge, or soft nylon brush, to treat stubborn stains before washing

  • Remove all non-washable parts

  • Shake well before use

  • Follow care label instructions

  • Do not use detergents

Top Loading Machine Wash

  • Place maximum 6 garments in washing machine

  • After the machine has filled, 5floz/150ml for 1-3 garments, 8floz/250ml for 4-6 garments. Add an additional 50ml for hard water* areas

  • Set cycle to Heavy and Warm. 1-3 items: low water level, 4-6 items: medium water level

Front Loading Machine Wash

  • Remove all detergent from detergent dispenser

  • Place maximum of 2 garments in washing machine

  • Add 3floz/100ml of Tech Wash®. Add an additional 50ml for hard water* areas

  • Set cycle to Synthetics and Warm (30oC)

* If you have calcium and mineral deposits in your washing machine you have hard water 

Application by Hand

  • Using gloves, immerse item(s) in 6L hand-hot water in sink or bowl

  • Use 2floz/50ml per item in soft water areas. Add an additional 50ml per garment in hard water* areas

  • Agitate to mix

  • Rinse 3 times in clean water

* If you have calcium and mineral deposits in your washing machine you have hard water. For extreme hard water use 200ml

Re-water proofing

  • If the item doesn't require re-waterproofing, air dry or tumble dry on a low setting if care label allows

  • If you intend to re-waterproof the washed item there is no need to dry it first

  • Use Nikwax TX.Direct® for breathable clothing, Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarProof® for equipment, or Nikwax Cotton Proof for cotton, polycotton and canvas

    NEW ZEALAND DELIVERY 

    For delivery of orders within New Zealand, excluding boats:

    • All local orders over NZD $100 are shipped free using a standard signature required service.
    • All local orders under NZD $100 are charged a flat fee of NZD $6 and are shipped using standard signature required service.
    • We use Post Haste Couriers as our courier service
    • Allow 4 business days for standard South Island shipping and 5 business days for the North Island.
    • Rural Address and PO box numbers please add business 2 days.
    • Once your order has been dispatched you will receive an email with tracking information.
    • Once your order has left the store it is at the mercy of the couriers. Please check your tracking information and contact the couriers if it has not arrived when expected.

    HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

    • Allow 4 business days for standard South Island shipping and 5 business days for the North Island.
    • Rural Address and PO Boxes, please add 2 more days.
    • We try our best to get your orders out to you ASAP, however, during our peak times (Christmas, Sale week etc), we may need an extra day to process them.
    • These estimates are for a perfect world when courier companies work on time and natural disasters and pandemics are at bay. Once it has left the shop it is sometimes up to the shipping gods!

    CAN I CHANGE MY ADDRESS AFTER I ORDER?

    • We can’t change addresses in the system once your order has been placed, however, send an email to support@furtherfaster.reamaze.com or call us in-store and we will endeavour to change the address.
    • Please let us know before order cut off at 1pm daily.

    INSTORE PICK UP / CLICK & COLLECT

    • We offer an in-store pick up service.
    • This is contactless, please order online and choose Pick-Up.
    • You will be notified when your order is ready for collection.
    • Collection can be made during opening hours at

    WHERE IS MY ORDER: 

    • Once your order has been shipped you will receive a Shipment Order Email. This will have a link to your tracking details, you can use this link to find the location of your parcel and contact the courier company to see how far away it is.
    • If you have not received a confirmation email within 24hrs, please check your junk box in your email, as some times we need to get in touch with you and emails do happen to end up in there!
    • Alternatively, speak to our order guru 'Bot-Bruce', and he can find the tracking details for you in the chat section of this pop-up. Just ask him, 'Where is my order?' and follow the prompts 🐻.

     

    INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY (AUSTRALIA, USA)

    • All Australian orders are charged a flat fee of NZD $35 and are shipped using a standard service (not including boats).
    • All North American orders are charged a flat fee of NZD $90 and are shipped using a standard service (not including boats).
    • Standard delivery times for international orders can vary from 5 business days to 6 weeks.
    • Once your item has been dispatched you will receive an email with tracking information.
    • International orders do not come with a signature delivery confirmation.
    • Please do not buy products with eggs or bacon, as international customs do not like this and your order may be confiscated at your own cost (no one wants wasted bacon and eggs!)

    SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS

    • A limited number of Montane items are shipped from the UK warehouse and delivery can take up to 14 business days from order placement
    • All Ruffwear is shipped from our Christchurch store and usually leaves the same or next day. If for some reason we don't have the item you ordered we will notify you the day you order and let you know when you can expect delivery. Special order for non stocked items are usually 2 weeks.

    BOATS

    • Shipping for white water kayaks starts at $99. Shipping can be arranged for all other boats, kayaks and canoes.
    • Please contact the store for details and cost.
