This is by far the most comfortable pack I've ever used. I've previously used packs from Macpac, Montana, Osprey and Kathmandu and none of them come close to the comfort of the Peak Aspiration. All the weight gets comfortably carried on your hips to the point I get tricked into thinking I'm carrying less weight then I actually am. Being able to tighten the top and bottom of the hip belt means it doesn't need to be uncomfortably tight like a lot of other single piece belts.
I don't typically carry enough to justify using the front pouches and the pack works amazing this way. It's not necessary to use the front packs for it to be super comfortable.
I'm a convert and don't see myself ever using anything else.
I've tested the pack on a 4 day hike in the Victorian alps, Australia. I found it very comfortable and often forgot I was wearing it, though of course I was aware of carrying a load. In contrast, previous packs I was forever fiddling with the straps without making the pack sit or feel much better, and often getting not-insignificant shoulder and hip pain. Also, the pockets made accessing gear far easier and quicker and I found I saved a lot of time throughout the day and making and breaking camp not having to pull everything out. In short, I am very pleased with the product and it did what I'd hoped.
We've had our Aarn packs for a few years now, they've proved themselves comfortable and practical. The design is as good as it gets. We've had a couple of little things that needed looking at, like rips in the waterproof lining and the after sales service has been excellent. Very highly recommended.
A fantastic pack. My partner and I both used Peak Aspiration packs for our Kepler Track walk last year. We had no problems with backs, shoulders etc. I have since bought an Active Endeavor 26 as a day/MTB pack. Love the Aarn packs
Over the past year I've met quite a few women with Aarn packs so I decided to take the plunge and join them.
I walked the Paparoa track without pockets (they were not available at first due to Covid) and added pockets as soon as I could.
Last week I walked the Milford Track. The pack is very comfortable and light and I can keep all my important items (especially snacks) in the pockets.
My Peak Aspiration will keep me tramping for many years to come.
